Email Signature Manager version 7.x
This article describes the symptoms and cause of a known issues where the Email Signature Manager Agent sometimes removes all previously deployed email signatures for a user. This article also describes the resolution for this issue.
When the Email Signature Manager Agent updates, the local Status Monitor shows the agent connecting to the Email Signature Manager Client Access Service, determining that no signatures are to be deployed, and then removing all previously deployed email signatures.
The potential causes for this problem are:
- Known issue in Email Signature Manager Agent prior to version 1.2.2, where the agent will remove previously deployed email signatures on communication failure with the service.
- Known issue in Email Signature Manager Client Access Service prior to version 7.2.3, where the service stops listening for connections in very specific circumstances.
Upgrade Email Signature Manager Agent to version 1.2.2 or later.
Upgrade Email Signature Manager to version 7.2.3 or later
The problem is resolved as described above.
