Email Signature Manager version 7.0.0-7.2.1
This article describes the symptoms and cause of a known issue where the Email Signature Manager Service fails to start due to process terminating unexpectedly. This article also describes the resolution for this issue.
The Email Signature Manager Service fails to start with the following error:
Windows could not start the Symprex Email Signature Manager Service service on the local computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.
The Email Signature Manager Service status XML file has become corrupted.
Upgrade Email Signature Manager to version 7.2.2 or later will resolve this issue.
Alternatively delete the Symprex.EmailSignatureManager.ServiceStatus.xml from the C:\ProgramData\Symprex folder and the service will start.
The problem is resolved as described above.
The problem no longer occurs when using Email Signature Manager 7.2.2 and later.
